The Public Service Commission (PSC) has recommended appointing 8,529 candidates in different cadres out of 15,951 aspirants who passed the final test.
The results will be found on the PSC website, Controller of Exams (cadre) AIM Nesaruddin told bdnews24.com.
The PSC said that 15,951 candidates passed in both written and viva voce, but since the number of vacancies could not accommodate all, some would not be appointed in cadre posts.
“There will be an effort to appoint those who cannot be given cadre posts, in non-cadre posts.”
The PSC however gives no assurance regarding such appointment.
The 33rd BCS exam notice was held on Feb 29, 2012.
Altogether 193,059 candidates took the preliminary test against 4,206 vacant posts on June 1, 2012.
Some 28,917 successful candidates sat for the written tests.
The 18,693 candidates, who cleared the written tests, appeared for the viva voce held in May and June this year.
